Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz Relaunching Decaydance Label as DCD2

Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy has announced he will relaunch his record label Decaydance later this month as DCD2.

DCD2’s first release will be from LOLO, the Memphis-born, Brooklyn-based singer who gained exposure last year with a feature on Panic! At The Disco’s single “Miss Jackson.” The video for her first single, “Hit & Run,” was released today.

A release by New Politics will follow, whose recent hit “Harlem,” which found success on modern rock radio sitting in the top 5 for two months, with follow up “Tonight You’re Perfect” reaching the top 15. Both songs licensed to high-profile campaigns spanning from a trailer for Disney’s Frozen to promos for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and a Microsoft commercial.

Both LOLO and New Politics will join Fall Out Boy on their MONUMENTOUR this summer.

Wentz’s has a proven track record of discovering new talent. Decaydance’s first signing was Panic! At The Disco, whose debut album went platinum, and debut single went double platinum. Since, other notables have included Gym Class Heroes and Travie McCoy, Young Money alum Tyga, and The Voice-winner Cassadee Pope. Wentz’s own band, Fall Out Boy, released its comeback album, Save Rock and Roll, last year that went gold with the multiplatinum single “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ‘Em Up).”
