Beyonce gave quite the artistic performance on Sunday at the Grammys in L.A. The singer is the most nominated female artist in Grammy history with 62 total nominations. This year, she is up for nine Grammy nominations including album of the year (Lemonade), song of the year (“Formation”) and record of the year (“Formation”).
Beyonce recently announced she is pregnant with twins, and she proudly showed off her baby bump as she sang onstage in a shimmering dress, donning a gold crown adorned with roses. Video clips of Beyonce baring her bump and surrounded by women, including her daughter, Blue Ivy, and her mother, Tina Knowles, were interspersed in the performance as Beyonce recited the spoken words portion of Lemonade.
She sang “Love Drought” on top of a long table, tilting back in her chair, sheathed in gold light and surrounded by rose petals and her backup dancers. She ended the performance with “Sandcastles.”
“If we’re gonna heal, let it be glorious,” rang out in the crowd as Jay Z and Blue Ivy watched Beyonce with big smiles on their faces.
Tina Knowles introduced her daughter, saying she is so proud of the “devotion and love” Beyonce shows for daughter Blue Ivy.
Other artists scheduled to perform at the Grammys include Adele, Carrie Underwood, Bruno Mars and more.
