When asked if anything could top his four Grammy wins, he replied, “Maybe a boyfriend.” And what, exactly is Smith looking for in a boyfriend. “Somebody who could clean all of these for me,” he joked.
When Smith won record of the year earlier in the night he thanked his ex for the heartbreak that inspired his award-winning music. “I want to thank the man who this record is about, who I fell in love with last year,” he said during his acceptance speech. “Thank you so much for breaking my heart, ’cause you got me four Grammys.”
Backstage the 22-year-old singer said he is still friends with his ex and keeps in touch with him. He added his ex-boyfriend is really happy for him.
