Next on James Franco’s list to tackle? Releasing a music album later this summer, Pitchfork reports.
The Oscar-nominated actor, one-half of Kalup and Franco with video performance artist Kalup Linzy, is teaming with DJ /rupture to release a new EP. Linzy, is a video performance artist who often performs onstage in drag.
The act was created during Franco’s brief return on ABC’s General Hospital, when he invited Linzy to perform during his appearance.
Turn It Up from label Dutty Artz (co-founded by DJ /rupture), will be available as a digital download and as a limited edition 7” on July 12. The EP features “Rising (Both Sides Now)” and “Turn It Up (So We Can Turn It Out).”
DJ /rupture and Brent Arnold produced the album.
