Jay Sean will release his next album, Neon, on May 21. “Where You Are” will be the first single from his Cash Money/Republic sophomore project, impacting radio and iTunes on March 19.
The multi-platinum-selling international pop/R&B singer/songwriter currently resides at No. 5 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart with “So High.” The song will also appear on the new album, which marks Sean’s fourth studio project.
Concurrently, Sean announces the launch of Kamouflage Entertainment with business associates Jeremy Skaller and Thara Prashad. With offices in both New York City and Los Angeles, the company’s first signings include Australian prankster crew The Janoskians, UK X Factor finalists The Fairground and urban production duo Da BeatFreaks (whose credits include British boy band Blue). Kamouflage’s debut project will be The Janoskians, slated for first-quarter release via Sony Music.
The London-born Sean signed with Cash Money in 2008 and made his U.S. album debut in 2009 with “All or Nothing.” The set spawned the Hot 100 No, 1 hit “Down” with labelmate Lil Wayne and the top 10 single “Do You Remember.”
Sean initially claimed international success with his first two albums, 2004’s “Me Against Myself” and 2008’s “My Own Way,” the latter of which spun off the UK hits “Ride It” and “Maybe.”
