While the season-11 American Idol tour kicks off this summer, judge Jennifer Lopez will embark on her own series of stage shows — choreographed by new-ish boyfriend, Casper Smart.
“I’m working with (choreographer) Jamie King, and also Casper Smart,” she announced earlier this week. “It’s going to be an amazing, amazing show.”
As previously reported, Lopez is partnering with Enrique Iglesias and Latin superstars Wisin Y Mandel for a world tour — her first — to launch July 14 in Montreal. Lopez’s months-long romance with Smart, a 25-year-old former backup dancer, has been out in the open, for the most part: the two have been photographed together, at work and at play, and Smart recently earned another promotion as director for her latest music video in Acapulco.

According to Yahoo Music, Smart has more professional experience in a lead choreographer role than some might think: he’s choreographed for Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Eminem as well as TV’s So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Best Dance Crew and The X Factor.
Lopez, 42, split from Marc Anthony — father of her 4-year-old twins, Max and Emme — last year. She’s since reinvented herself as a compassionate judge on Idol who doles out tough love, too, and the co-producer of the reality competition Q’Viva! alongside Anthony.
