Justin Bieber debuted a new song Sunday night after technical difficulties barred him from a planned Live Stream chat with fans during the Grammy Awards.
Upset over being snubbed by the ceremony, Bieber aimed to provide counter-programming of sorts through chatting, real-time, with Beliebers on TwitCam and UStream. But the sites malfunctioned because of heavy traffic, derailing the 18-year-old singer’s efforts.
“since nothing is working and im super upset i feel i gotta make it up to u. i should post a new song on twitter so you can still be excited,” he tweeted, later posting a video wherein he appeared shirtless and played a recording of the track, titled “You Want Me,” while younger siblings Jazmyn and Jaxon waved hi to the camera.

Bieber then uploaded it to SoundCloud, noting on the site: “not finished song im working on :).” Dance-y yet mellow, “You Want Me” features the singer rapping rhymes of seduction.
Last month, he released an acoustic edition of his best-selling album Believe, and this past weekend, he hosted Saturday Night Live. In a sketch portraying the ultimate Miley Cyrus (Vanessa Bayer) fan, Bieber appeared on her talk show and declared his disdain for Justin Bieber. He obliquely addressed photos that emerged several weeks ago of the singer smoking pot: “I also heard he got busted smoking weed, and people make mistakes and he’s really sorry about it and he’s never going to do it again.”
