Justin Bieber has landed himself in even more hot water.
The 20-year-old singer is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department after being accused of committing an attempted robbery on Monday, a LAPD spokesperson confirmed.
“Detectives are currently interviewing the victim. It was reported at 10.30 p.m. Monday night to our Devonshire location and occurred earlier in the day in the Valley,” Officer Rosario Herrera told The Hollywood Reporter.
“As of right now, no arrest has been made and detectives are currently interviewing the victim.”
While the LAPD spokesperson couldn’t confirm details of the incident, TMZ reported that it took place at a miniature golf and batting cage park in Sherman Oaks, where a woman with her daughter took photos of Bieber, prompting him to allegedly snatch her phone and scream at the pair, making the girl cry.
Bieber’s latest run-in with the law comes three weeks after he was detained at Los Angeles International Airport on April 24 and questioned by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officials after returning from Asia; however, no formal action was taken and he was released after four hours.
The pop star’s Miami trial for driving under the influence and other charges will begin on July 7, after his lawyers asked for it to be delayed to examine evidence and discuss whether to accept a possible plea deal.
Bieber is also being investigated in Los Angeles County for vandalism following an incident in Calabasas, where he allegedly egged a neighbor’s home in January.
On Sunday, he had courtside seats for the L.A. Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder NBA game, but even taking his mom for Mother’s Day didn’t warm the crowd to Bieber, who booed the wayward singer when he appeared on the Jumbotron.
