Ludacris is now commenting publicly about controversial jokes that were told at Comedy Central’s Roast of Justin Bieber.
The Furious 7 star told HuffPost Live that certain cracks made at Paul Walker‘s expense went too far. A Comedy Central spokesperson previously told The Hollywood Reporter that the jokes will be edited out of the broadcast.
“There were some Paul Walker jokes that I didn’t feel like were appropriate,” Ludacris said. “I was told and promised that they would edit those out. … Some of those were over the line.”
Among the jokes told during the event’s March 14 taping were this one by comedian Jeff Ross: “‘Move bitch, get out of the way!’ is what Paul Walker should’ve told that tree. Too soon? Too fast? Too furious?” During the taping, Ludacris motioned that the joke be cut.
