But the most present mentor is Will Smith. Braun tells of a particularly tough time for Bieber around the time he returned from his world tour in May that prompted the movie star to drive to Bieber’s house and pull him out of bed for a three-hour talk. Bieber’s reaction, according to Braun: “He said, ‘Man, that makes me feel so loved. I woke up, and there’s Will Smith, one of, if not the, biggest movie stars on the planet. He took time out of his day for me.’ ”

Forget charges in Miami, Toronto and L.A., Justin Bieber is on to the next party.
The pop star set aside his recent legal woes and hit the Manhattan nightlife on Friday night. He was spotted outside 1 Oak nightclub and then went uptown to Maxim’s “Big Game Weekend” bash, presented by Talent Resources Sports at Espace in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen on Friday night.

The pop star snuck into the event through the back door after midnight, a source tells The Hollywood Reporter, and stayed until the very end of the party, not leaving until 4:10 a.m. Bieber arrived with 13 to 15 people and was in a booth for roughly 20 minutes before many people noticed that he was there, according to THR‘s source. Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun was not with him. Bieber was denied entrance to three parties before showing up at the Maxim event, THR‘s source says.
Although he looked like he wasn’t in a good mood and kept his sunglasses and hat on for almost the entire time, Bieber and his entourage seemed to enjoy the attention he received at the party, THR‘s source says.
Party organizers placed eight security guards around his table to make sure he wasn’t drinking, and THR‘s source says it didn’t appear that the 19-year-old, arrested for a DUI in Miami Beach last week, was drinking.

Other stars at Friday night’s party included Aaron Paul, Kendrick Lamar, Alyssa Milano and former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin. The event was sponsored by AQUAhydrate, Heavenly Mountain Resort, Patron Tequila, Philippe by Philippe Chow, Touch by Alyssa Milano and Wonderful Pistachios.
Bieber was also spotted at another location signing autographs for a large group of fans.
Despite it being Super Bowl weekend, Bieber could’ve been forgiven for laying low. On Wednesday, the Believe singer turned himself in to Toronto police and was charged with assault in connection with an incident that occurred involving his limousine driver.
