Justin Timberlake unveiled the official video for his new song “Can’t Stop the Feeling” on Monday night, tweeting to his over 55 million followers, “#OfficialVideo of #CantStopTheFeeling. Starts. Now!”
The song, which will appear in his upcoming movie Trolls, has already hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts, giving the singer-actor his fifth solo in the top slot.
In the video, directed by Mark Romanek, Timberlake and his dancers are seen bopping to the music at everyday places like a coffee shop, grocery store and landromat with vibrant and colorful backdrops.
Timberlake, who hasn’t released new original music since The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 in 2013, first dropped the song on May 5 with a first-look video featuring his Trolls co-stars Anna Kendrick, James Corden, Gwen Stefani and Ron Funches.
Timberlake is also set to appear via webcast on Tuesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to announce the world premiere of the video from the Cannes Film Festival, where he’s promoting Trolls.
In Trolls, Timberlake voices the character of Branch alongside Kendrick, who plays Princess Poppy. While promoting the movie in Cannes, the pair performed a duet of Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors,” which is featured in the animated musical. Timberlake also serves as the executive music producer for the film, writing the original music like “Feeling” and others on the soundtrack. Trolls hits theaters Nov. 4.
