Well-dressed rapper turned fashion designer Kanye West attended the Christian Dior Paris show wearing black leather Dior jeans and jacket with his own red and black Air Yeezy sneakers. We believe the gold chain is his as well. Just a hunch

There’s nothing like a rant from Kanye West. The rapper is known to occasionally let off steam during his shows by going off on long freestyles. While performing in London on Saturday, West took to the mic for 10 to 11 minutes to express his dislike for Justin Timberlake‘s Jay-Z-assisted single, “Suit and Tie,” the Grammys, the music industry and more. “And I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f—ing with that ‘Suit & Tie’,” West said over the G.O.O.D. Music track “Clique.”
Oohs and ahhs can be heard throughout the stadium after West dissed the 20/20 Vision single. West wasn’t quite done there, though. He continued to share his thoughts on the demands of the music industry, including the Grammy Awards.
“I hate business people. People get on the phone with me and tell me: ‘What kind of business can you do, though? What type of business are you doing? What’s the numbers? How much did you sell? What’s the radio spins? How much shampoo can you sell with your face on it and shit?'” he spit. “Remind me again why we in this shit. Can you remind me again why we in this shit? Since when [is] making music about getting rich? Since when [is] making art about getting rich?… Remind me again why we in this shit. Remind me again why the Grammys couldn’t suck my dick.”
West won three Grammys this year — best rap performance, rap song (for “Ni–as in Paris,” alongside Jay-Z) and best rap/sung collaboration (for “No Church in the Wild,” alongside Jay-Z, Frank Ocean and The-Dream) — but wasn’t in attendance to accept them.
Before closing on a lighter, loving note (“Love one another. The way you love your mother, man. The way you should love her”), the rant hit a sarcastic yet disturbing point when he expressed his frustration toward sponsorships: “Can I sell a drink for you please? So you can help me put on a better show. Please corporations. Can you please support me? I swear I’m a nice ni–a now. I swear I’ll put the pink polo back on. I swear to you. Please. Just for three million dollars. I need it so bad. I need a new pool in my backyard. I tell my fans your shit is cool. And if they believe in me they should also believe in you. What’s my public rating now? Are they liking me again? They forgot about the whole Beyonce thing right? OK cool.”
Kanye’s rant makes me wonder how much certain events (Grammys, 2009 MTV VMAs) and obligations (or lack thereof) weigh on him.
