Hot off the launch of his Calabasas-themed children’s clothing line with wife Kim Kardashian in May, Kanye West is apparently looking to get even more involved with the affluent L.A. suburb he now calls home.
The rapper/designer is reportedly looking to work with Calabasas High School on redesigning its sports uniforms. TMZ reports that West’s team recently met with school officials and pitched the idea of a collaboration.
A source tells the celebrity website that Yeezy is interested in changing the school’s team name from the Coyotes to the Wolves, as well as altering the school colors. West is said to be interested in contributing a donation to improve school facilities, too.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to West’s rep and Calabasas High School for comment. It’s not known whether Kanye has any connection to the school other than proximity, as his children North and Saint are too young to attend, and Kanye himself attended Polaris High School in Chicago.
Much like the Yeezy Season 5 collection, West and Kardashian’s children’s line, called The Kids Supply, offers a silk bomber jacket that features a map of Calabasas embroidered onto a silk bomber jacket and $125 silk dresses.
West has been keeping a low profile, skipping the Met Gala and deleting his Twitter and Instagram accounts in May.
If the partnership follows through, don’t be surprised if every athlete at CHS rocks a highly coveted pair of Yeezys.
