Kanye West shared some inspiring words with graduates at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College. The rapper headed to the podium to speak to the students on Friday.
West had been teaching classes there as a part of the 250-hour community-service sentence he received in March 2014 after he attacked a paparazzo at LAX. In his speech, he spoke to the graduating class about some of the obstacles they will face in the real world.

“It’s a tough world out there. You’re going to prepare yourself for politics, bad bosses, hating employees, and, usually, when you’re the absolute best, you get hated on the most,” he shared in the speech. “Even for me, as a successful musician, in order to make the transition, it was really all but impossible. People always try to box you in to what they know you best for.”
