After dropping his new single “Only One” at the very start of the year (literally, at midnight!), Kanye West has shared a preview for its corresponding music video.
He appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday to share a clip from the video, directed by Spike Jonze. The song, which features West singing over Paul McCartney’s keyboard-playing, is from the perspective of West’s mother, singing to her son, and repeatedly references West’s own daughter, North West.

West also noted that his upcoming album is still untitled — “I don’t know yet, we’re still trying to find it, trying to find the vibe. This transition from what I felt when I did Yeezus to what I feel now, it’s just … we’re just creating … so we haven’t found it yet,” he explained, adding, “There are things I’ve done in the past that were considered negative, but I was really jumping in front of the tank for other people or for culture, in a way, so now I always have to have that in my mind, that I have a family that I have to protect, too.”
