It’s New Year’s Eve, but Kanye West won’t let us forget that he’s still working on that new album.
Will we get Swish in 2016? Hopefully. But in the meantime, you can listen to a brand new song from ‘Ye. It’s called “Facts” and it’s streaming over on his Soundcoud page here.
West references his 2015 VMAs election bid (“2020 Imma run the whole election”), his sneaker success (“I ain’t dropped an album but those shoes went platinum”), Odell Beckham Jr. and LeBron James. The hook (“Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman“) references Future and Drake’s hit “Jumpman.”
And we know West laid this one down recently, at least since the Dec. 20 Miss Universe competition: “Do anyone feel bad for Bill Cosby / Did he forget the name just like Steve Harvey?”
“Facts” was produced by Metro Boomin and Southside.
This is the second straight year West has dropped a new song on New Year’s Eve. Last year, he shared “Only One” just before 2014 turned into 2015.
