Kelly Clarkson offered fans a few hints about her forthcoming album, slated to drop sometime early this year.
The singer revealed several clues on her Twitter account on Jan. 3, confirming that genre-wise, it will land in the realm of pop. “People keep asking. My next album is pop. But I am always influenced by music I love, which is pop- rock/country/r&b/dance #whoknowswhatsnext,” she tweeted.
Additionally, she revealed that the release, the follow-up to 2011’s Stronger, will have a very special duet with someone she’s worked with in the past. And she also shared a tweet about her as-yet-untitled first single and hinted it might drop this month. “Oh and people also keep asking about the duet on the record. Here’s a hint ….this wasn’t our first time to sing together,” she wrote. “2 clues for the first single ….Proof of life & Dr. Dre #TheNextEpisode.”
