If you’re a Kris Allen fan, the wait is over: the season-eight American Idol champ, who famously trumped Adam Lambert for the title, has released his latest single, “The Vision of Love,” on iTunes.

The upbeat, uptempo track, from Allen’s forthcoming sophomore album, takes a title cue from Mariah Carey but holds steady to the married singer-songwriter’s Christian pop-rock style of music. Allen released his debut record in 2009, spawning the hit single “Live Like We’re Dying.”
