Never one for subtleties, Gaga seemed to gain the most weight on her head, where she piled absurd teased bicolored hairpieces for her arrival at SongShan airport in Taipei, Taiwan, a Born This Way Ball tour stop. Even her electric green cutout dress couldn't distract from her WTF? hairdo.

A formal version of Lady Gaga‘s highly anticipated album ARTPOP is far from being released, but that hasn’t stopped some “little monsters” from allegedly leaking its tracks. On Wednesday, a song titled “Aura” (also known as “Burqa”) exploded across the Internet, becoming a topic of much fire and debate. Will it be featured on the singer’s upcoming release?
Listen to the track over at Idolator. Reports of the possible leak also have been picked up by Vibe and Spin, among other outlets.

It’s undeniable that the “Mother Monster” is a bit of an oddball herself, but this song takes the cake in the long list of bizarre things that Lady Gaga has done. While it can be appreciated for its artistic innovation, the complex infusion of EDM, Auto Tune, an aside of “sex, dance, art, pop” and an exhausting amount of fake accents leave this listener plainly confused with what she just heard. It’s likely, however, that this version isn’t the final cut of a track but just a demo.
Twitter commentary has been steadily building since the alleged leak, with responses ranging from good to very bad. Some of the harshest critiques include Jezebel, Idolator and fans themselves.
Jezebel tweeted:
Lady Gaga has a burqa problem http://t.co/Y0XVfKb7bn

One Twitter user even compared the singer’s recent burqa-like fashion statements to the use of black face in 1800s.
Dear Lady Gaga:”You can’t just ornament yourself in other cultures” Plz note: blackface wasn’t cool. Neither is this http://t.co/N2IR9MLZX9

Idolator calls the song “the best and worst things about Lady Gaga amplified. It kicks off with weird filtered vocals … then yields to a Halloween-goofy, dissonant ‘ha ha ha’ bit, as clownish as ‘Monster Mash,’ before big, brazenly conventional EDM production struts in, tinny and uninspiring. It feels like ‘Government Hooker,’ but messier, less cohesive, and more annoying.”
Spin warns fans to “brace yourself for something as grandiose and striving as that album title.”
While ARTPOP is not due out until Nov. 11, Lady Gaga will perform its lead single, “Applause,” at the MTV Video Music Awards this month. No official comment has been made regarding whether “Aura/Burqa” will make it onto the final album.
See the lyrics below.
“I killed my poor, former friend, left her in the trunk on highway 10
Put the knife under the hood If you find it, send it straight to Hollywood
Hahahaha Hahahaha Hahahaha
Aura-a-a-a Aura-a-a-a
I’m not a wandering slave I am a woman of choice
My veil is protection for the gorgeousness of my face
You want to fancy me cause — women to love
But in the bedroom, the size of them’s more than enough.Do you wanna see me naked, lover?
Do you wanna peak underneath the cover?
Do you wanna see the girl who lives behind the aura, behind the aura?
Do you wanna touch me, let’s make love
Do you wanna be the peak underneath the cover
Do you wanna see the girl who lives behind the aura
Behind the aura, Behind the aura, Behind the aura
Enigma popstar is fun
She wears a burqa for fashion
It’s not a statement as much as just a move of passion.
I may not walk on your street
Or shoot a gun on your soil
I hear you screaming
Because of pleasure or toil?Dance, Sex, ART POP, Dance, Sex, ART POP
Do you wanna see me naked, lover?
Do you wanna be the peak underneath the cover?
Do you wanna see the girl who lives behind the aura, behind the aura?
Do you wanna touch me, let’s make love
Do you wanna be the peak underneath the cover?
Do you wanna see the girl who lives behind the aura?
Behind the aura, Behind the aura, Behind the curtain, Behind the burqa,
ARTPOP.”
