To the relief of SoCal Glamberts who scored a seat to Thursday’s elimination show, Adam Lambert‘s return to the American Idol stage on March 10 — an annual tradition since he finished second on Season 8 — will be a live acoustic performance of “Aftermath” and not pre-taped.
Immediately following Thursday’s show (airing on Fox at 8:00pm), the Billboard remix will be made available on Lambert’s official site with part of the proceeds going to support The Trevor Project.
The
Trevor Project is a leading organization focused on crisis intervention and suicide prevention among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.
Says Lambert;”[“Aftermath”]…was written about finding the courage to be honest with yourself and the people who love you. It’s about facing adversity and taking risks in the name of personal liberation. The song takes on different meanings to different listeners. I hope this song inspires people to be who they truly want to be… And dance!”
