Miley Cyrus has no plans to visit the United States during her upcoming international tour.
The pop singer told the Associated Press that now that her home life has settled down, she’s ready to kick off her Gypsy Heart Tour — but she won’t be stopping in her native country.
“I just think right now America has gotten to a place where I don’t know if they want me to tour or not,” she said. “Right now I just want to go to the places where I am getting the most love and Australia and South America have done that for me. Kind of going to the places where I get the most love. Don’t want to go anywhere where I don’t feel completely comfortable with it.”
Cyrus also doesn’t intend to release her duet with Bret Michaels, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” in the United States. She recently debuted the single in Australia.
Cyrus will perform in Australia and South America during the Gypsy Heart Tour, which supports her third studio album, Can’t Be Tamed. Although it will be the teen star’s first visit to South America, she says she’s excited to meet her fans there.
“I speak zero Spanish,” she admitted. “I actually failed Spanish so I will have someone with me making sure I can get through my way.”
Cyrus is set to hit the road April 27.
