Serving up some nostalgia, ViacomCBS’ MTV will in May premiere My Life on MTV, a new music series “celebrating some of the world’s greatest stars and their most unforgettable moments.”
The 10-episode series, featuring the likes of Lady Gaga, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Snoop Dogg, Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, One Direction, Backstreet Boys, Linkin Park, Green Day, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Jonas Brothers, Usher, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Coldplay, U2, ‘N Sync and Britney Spears, will premiere in international markets beginning May 21 and in the U.S. on May 22.
“Each episode will retell the story of two global music superstars through a nostalgic look back in time to present day, all through the lens of the MTV cameras,” MTV said. “From their first introduction on MTV News (‘you hear it first’) to pop culture–defining performances on TRL, the VMAs and EMAs, they’ve been Punk’d, showed us their Cribs, and shared intimate stories on The Ride, Diary, Yo! MTV Raps and countless specials.”
“We have a rich history with these groundbreaking artists, and we’re thrilled to be bringing fans a fresh take on their most unforgettable moments that only happened here on MTV,” said Bruce Gillmer, president of music, music talent, programming and events at ViacomCBS.
My Life on MTV is produced by Glass Entertainment Group, with Nancy Glass and Lauren Flowers serving as executive producers. MTV executive producers are Gillmer and Jennifer Demme.
