The two weren’t talking, but obviously they were engaged, right? Wrong. In a new interview with The Fader, Mill admits point-blank that the rock does not mean they’re betrothed.
“It’s definitely real,” Mill told the magazine of his relationship with Minaj. “But it ain’t really time to get married yet. We’re still learning each other, feeling each other out.” So despite shelling out an alleged $500,000 for the heart-shaped diamond, they’re simply still dating.

The rapper also told the magazine that he had to clear up the rumors with his grandmother, who was convinced he was engaged, since “whatever she sees on TV, she believes.” And when T.I., Mill’s mentor, congratulated the pair at a restaurant, Mill said he told him: “I ain’t engaged.”
As for Minaj, she made it clear to Complex last winter that she’d like to have a baby by the time she finishes her fifth album but that a walk down the aisle must come first. “I feel like I was put here to be a mother,” she told the magazine. “I have definitely put off the wife thing because I don’t want people in my business. I’d rather not do anything that’s going to be on paper, but I definitely will be married before I have my baby. I want to make sure to do it in that order.”
