Kevin Winter/ImageDirectDays after Outkast was officially announced as a Coachella headliner, Antwan “Big Boi” Patton and Andre “3000” Benjamin revealed that they would be embarking on a tour.
Following the group’s Coachella reunion in April, which marks the duo’s 20th anniversary since their 1994 debut Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, Outkast will perform at more than 40 festivals around the globe through the spring and summer. Those respective festivals and dates have yet to be announced.

“It’s truly an honor to celebrate 20 years and still be free to do music the way we choose,” said Big Boi. “Don’t just think outside the box, know that there is no box. I’m looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans — stank you smelly much, this is for y’all!”
Added Andre 3000: “And imagine, all we wanted to do was rap. I am thankful to have been a part of a group that allowed me to explore anything that came to mind and have fun doing it. Returning to the stage together is the most exciting way for us to thank everyone for their 20 years of supporting Outkast.”

Since the group’s debut, Outkast has sold more than 25 million albums, with 2003’s diamond-certified Speakerboxxx/The Love Below winning six Grammys, including album of the year. The duo also starred in Idlewild and produced the film’s soundtrack in 2006.
It has been years since Outkast has performed together. During the group’s lengthy break, Big Boi released two solo albums while Andre 3000 debuted a high-end clothing line and appears in the upcoming Jimi Hendrix biopic.
