Pentatonix is back with a new epic evolution arrangement — this time, charting the comprehensive catalog of Michael Jackson.
The a cappella group shared the song Monday, beginning with snippets of Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back,” “ABC” and “I’ll Be There,” and running through “Wanna Be Startin‘ Somethin‘,” “Rock With You,” “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” “Thriller,” “Man in the Mirror,” “Smooth Criminal,” “Black or White” and “You Are Not Alone,” among others.
The RCA artists — currently touring with Kelly Clarkson and fresh off the release of their On My Way Home documentary — have previously released evolution-style videos of Beyonce and other acts.
“People just like evolution videos — ‘Evolution of Dance’ was one of the biggest YouTube videos in history,” Scott Hoying previously told The Hollywood Reporter of their ambitious medleys. Mitch Grassi added, “The evolution concept is much more captivating [than our straight covers]. It is really vocally taxing, but I think we can do it for a few shows.”
The quintet recently appeared in Pitch Perfect 2.
