The World From the Side of the Moon sold 63,000 copies last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The rise in sales is attributed to a discounted price on iTunes.
The Leesburg, Georgia, singer/songwriter will celebrate the milestone with a full on media campaign supporting his new single, “Gone, Gone, Gone,” all day next Wednesday with appearances on FOX, NBC and ABC.
The season 11 champ will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Ellen DeGeneres‘ daytime talk show, Ellen. He will also make a triumphant return to Idol, the show that catapulted him to fame in 2012.
