The well-known musician, business entrepreneur, motivational speaker and education advocate, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, just completed his second co-headlining tour with Enrique Iglesias this year and supported Britney Spears on her European tour. Earlier this year, Pitbull wrapped his two-year “Time of Our Lives” Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood and is set to host his annual “Worldwide NYE” event on Dec. 31 at Bayfront Park in Miami. Pitbull has two No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, 10 songs that charted within the Top 10 and 44 songs overall that have charted on Billboard‘s top songs chart. Last year, he released his tenth full-length album, Climate Change, and first-ever greatest hits compilation.
In May 2017, Pitbull left CAA after an eight-month stint to join WME, announcing that he hoped to continue his ventures in music and beyond, including raising his global profile as a motivational speaker. In April, he announced a tour with his childhood hero, Tony Robbins, during Billboard‘s Latin Music Week and said he didn’t plan to release several new tracks on platforms like Spotify.
“I even told [my] team not to register it,” he told Billboard‘s Leila Cobo. “I’m just being a revolutionary to wake everybody else. … Music brings everybody together.”
Pitbull has signed on to STX’s UglyDolls, based on the ubiquitous pop culture characters. He will write and perform an original song for the movie, slated for release in 2019, and lend his voice to one of its key characters. He also scored the film Gotti, starring John Travolta, and the movie’s soundtrack includes the original Pitbull song “Amore,” featuring Leona Lewis.
Pitbull has developed several consumer brands, including Voli 305 vodka and the fragrance line Pitbull for men and women. He is currently gearing up to open iLov305, a new restaurant and nightlife concept, on Miami’s famed Ocean Drive. Pitbull also was chosen by Norwegian Cruise Line to be the “Godfather of Norwegian Escape” and completed his second “Pitbull Cruise” this year. He has a commercial-free channel on SiriusXM called Pitbull’s Globalization and serves as brand ambassador for Bud Light, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Kodak and Dodge. Pitbull also serve as ambassador to the Sports Leadership Arts and Management (SLAM!) charter schools he helped to establish in the Little Havana section of Miami, where he spent some of his youth.
