Atlanta police say they have an arrest warrant for a man in the killing of rapper Slim Dunkin, who was gunned down in a music studio as he was preparing to record a video.
Police identified the man they’re seeking as 28-year-old Vinson Hardimon, a rapper known as Young Vito.

Police Maj. Keith Meadows said the 24-year-old Slim Dunkin, whose real name was Mario Hamilton, was shot to death in the chest Friday after getting into an argument with another person that night. He was taken to a city hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are urging Hardimon to turn himself in because they have reason to believe he may be in danger.
Homicide detective David Quinn previously revealed that witnesses said the argument was over candy.

“Someone came in and struck him, and a fight ensued,” Quinn told Atlanta’s WSB-TV. “Now the information we’re getting, and it’s unconfirmed, but witnesses are saying that this whole thing started over a piece of candy.”
According to Quinn, Slim Dunkin’s attacker went out to attain a gun after a dispute over the candy, “based on the evidence we have, whoever he was fighting with secured a weapon and shot him.”

Quinn added that the studio was filled with “at least 20-30 people” at the time of the shooting who were prepping for a photo shoot.
