In addition to the trailer, AT&T also released a 10-minute video of Swift writing her latest single, “Gorgeous.” The video features Swift writing the song on both the piano and guitar over a number of days. The evolution of the songwriting process is revealed as lyrics that once went, “I’ve got a boyfriend, he’s older than us. I haven’t seen him in a couple of months,” ended up as the finalized lyrics of “I’ve got a boyfriend, he’s older than us. He’s in the club doing, I don’t know what.”
The video comes to an end with Swift in the studio performing the song acoustically for co-writers Max Martin and Shellback as they give their feedback. The song’s official lyric video featuring the finalized version of the song is featured at the end of the clip.
The Making of a Song follows the megastar’s previous announcement in mid-October about her new app, The Swift Life. The free app functions as a social network for fans and allows users to “collect Taymojis, stickers, pics and more,” while keeping up with the latest news about Swift.
