Tina Fey, known best for her Emmy-winning turn as the harried and woebegone showrunner on 30 Rock, raps a powerful final verse on “Real Estate,” a track on the new mixtape of fellow NBC star Donald Glover, who performs under the name Childish Gambino. And as could be expected, Fey combines a hard front with some meta-pokes at the very fact that she’s slinging rhymes on what is otherwise a serious tape with plenty of big names (The RZA, Schoolboy-Q, Danny Brown and Beck included).
Her verse:
Yeah we in here, we in this thing
Gambino is forever, royalty is forever
We ballin’ till we f–k up the hardwood, homie
This the life we live, son
My president is black and my prius is blue, motherf—r
Royalty all day, we droppin’ racks at Nordstrom, son
That’s racks on racks, you feel me? You feel me?
This is the part where most people would say something crazy and drop the n-word after it
Not doing that, I’m not doing that, I DON’T FEEL COMFORTABLE!

Fey has parodied rap before, when, in an episode of 30 Rock this past season, she took a turn as “Lemonem” during a performance at the Apollo; her efforts to raise awareness of women’s issues in the song, however, were not met with appreciation by the audience.
Glover and Fey have worked together before; he was a writer on 30 Rock before joining Community, and guested on the show this past season.
Glover’s mixtape, titled Royalty, is his second effort since releasing Camp last year; it can be downloaded for free here.
