Queen with Adam Lambert kicked off their 24-city North American tour in glamorous style at Chicago’s United Center last night.

“We’ve played to some of your mothers and fathers,” Queen guitarist Brian May said to the crowd. “And some of your grandchildren, I’m sure.”
The evening was packed with hits, and Lambert, at one point looking resplendent in a diamond-studded leopard-skin suit, didn’t disappoint with his usual vocal acrobatics and charm.

For “We Will Rock You,” Lambert wore a crown and strutted the stage in a way that would make Freddie Mercury proud.
