Eminem is mourning the death of hip hop crooner Nate Dogg, who died Tuesday at age 41 of complications from multiple strokes.

“Nate’s voice in music will never be replaced,” Eminem said in a statement, according to E! “He helped create the blueprint for West Coast hip-hop, and I was one of the lucky people who had the privilege to work with him and the honor to have him as a friend. Nate will be sorely missed. My condolences and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.”
 
Eminem was among the performers with whom Nate Dogg – real name: Nathaniel D. Hale – collaborated.
 
He kicked off his career in the early 90s with Snoop Dogg in the rap group 213. “I am so sad but so happy I got to grow up wit u and I will c u again n heaven cuz u know d slogan,” Snoop Tweeted.
 
Warren G (his ’90s collaborator on “Regulate”) said in a statement: “Nate’s passing is a terrible loss to all of those who loved him or had the opportunity to work with him. He will be greatly missed, but he would want us to celebrate his life and the music he made. You are free now my brother, I will see you again one day.”
 
Daz Dillinger added: “R.I.P. to my homeboy Nate Dogg DPGC Dogg Pound gangsta 4 life.” 
 
“I lost a friend,” an emotional Game Tweeted. “Been here before. Tears. Memories. One day someone will lose ‘US’ as well. LIVING until that day comes is our only option. R.I.P. Nate Dogg. Why does it take Death to remind us about the importance of life ??? Cherish every moment cuz tomorrow he mite call your #.”
 
“We love you Nate Dogg, it’s never going to be the same” said West Coast rapper Xzibit.
