Whitney Houston got on stage for what would turn out to be her final performance on Thursday night at a pre-Grammy party. The event was hosted by singer Kelly Price at TRU Hollywood– dubbed Kelly Price & Friends Unplugged: For the Love of R&B.
Video of Houston’s impromptu performance with Kelly Price has recently surfaced. It shows Price on stage, talking about Houston. “She pushed me to sing to my limit,” she says.

“You are a class act, you are an icon,” Price says directly to Houston. Price is they surprised when Houston gets up to join her onstage. They embrace in a long hug. Houston then takes the mic and starts singing.
After Houston’s performance, she got into a verbal altercation with X Factor winner Stacy Francis, a source told The Hollywood Reporter. The situation was diffused without any punches thrown, but says the source, “You didn’t know which way it could go there for a minute.”

Houston was scheduled to appear at Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton on Saturday night. However, Houston died on Saturday at the age of 48.
Emergency crews summoned to the scene tried to resuscitate the singer in her room on the fourth floor. Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m.
Grammy executive producer Ken Ehrlich has announced that Sunday’s show will include a special dedication to the six-time Grammy winner. Jennifer Hudson and Chaka Khan are slated to appear.
