NAB 2013: Jon Landau to Keynote Cinema Technology Summit

The Lightstorm partner and producer of "Titanic" and "Avatar" hosts a game that includes actor David Schwimmer, showbiz attorney John Moonves, Warner Premiere exec Matt Bierman and screenwriter and director Zak Penn. (Bierman and Penn co-wrote the 2007 poker movie "The Grand.")

The event, co-produced by SMPTE, will be held during the upcoming NAB Show in Las Vegas.

Jon Landau will keynote NAB Show’s Technology Summit on Cinema on April 7 in Las Vegas. 

The Oscar winner produced the two-highest-grossing movies of all time, Avatar and Titanic. As executive vp feature film production at 20th Century Fox during the early '90s, he supervised production on all major motion pictures, including Mrs. Doubtfire, True Lies and Last of the Mohicans.

Additionally, the tech-savvy producer works with companies and individuals in the entertainment industry to advance cinematic technologies.

The Summit is co-produced by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.

NAB Show takes place April 6-11.
