Beauty pro Melanie Inglessis shares her five favorite finds from the annual Indie Beauty Expo.

Melanie Inglessis works her makeup magic on some of Hollywood's most recognizable faces and is known for creating the perfect glow — think Natalie Portman's smoky eyes and rose-tinted lips at the Golden Globes, Amber Heard's ultra-sultry red carpet glam and Kate Hudson's radiant and relaxed Fabletics campaigns. So when the annual Indie Beauty Expo, a traveling platform that hosts panel discussions and shows more than 150 independent beauty brands to consumers, press, influencers and professionals, hit downtown Los Angeles this week, Pret-a-Reporter could think of no better person to tour it on our behalf and share her must-try products.

Check out the Parisian beauty guru's photo diary from the event and the products she loved, below.

Aenon’s

I was particularly attracted to the dry face sheet masks that you can activate with different kinds of liquid. I thought it was very innovative and the packaging is simple and delightful. The Body Polish is also lovely. Milk, honey, egg yolks — the ingredients are over 95 percent naturally derived.

Dermaflash

I love this device and have actually used it on my clients and myself. It exfoliates the skin using sonic vibration technology through a stainless steel edge to remove dead skin cells and debris. It is fantastic to use before makeup application. The skin is left so smooth!

Mary’s Nutritionals

This is a hemp-infused product line which is important to me as I am a big believer in CBD for medical benefits and its anti-inflammatory results. After walking around the expo, the base of my neck was hurting, I put one of their patches on and within 30 minutes, no more pain. I also tried the Muscle Freeze and it was very potent. I love the packaging, which is modern and chic for a hemp-based line.

Organic to Green

I love the line! What attracted me was coconut oils mixed with ginger, jasmine or rose. I started looking a little deeper into the line and founds some truly lovely products. The Rose Mist Spray, I would want to spritz all day — with watermelon, pink salt and coconut, yum! The Rose Overnight Gel Mask feels so silky and luxurious and smells so divine, and so is the Rose Gold Face Oil. I combined those overnight and my skin was glowing in the morning.

Clove + Hallow

This is a vegan, organic and cruelty-free makeup line. It’s green beauty! It is made with 15 or fewer safe ingredients. It’s nearly impossible to find a green beauty line that has some pigment. Well no more! This line is highly pigmented, and the color choices are modern and current. The concealers and foundations are yellow-based, which is the most common skin undertones. I love the textures for all products; they are creamy and yet effective.
