Natalka Znak poached by RDF USA

ITV co-creator of 'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!'

LONDON -- RDF USA has poached leading ITV entertainment executive Natalka Znak, the co-creator and executive producer of ITV1 reality hits "Hell's Kitchen" and "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" to join its U.S. division as executive vp of RDF Media USA, it was announced Thursday.

Znak, an 18-year ITV veteran who is currently controller of factual entertainment at ITV Studios, will relocate to Los Angeles to take the newly created role of executive vp of RDF Media USA beginning in April.

ITV will not directly replace Znak, but will appoint an executive to take over the combined brief of factual entertainment and entertainment.

Znak joins an increasingly long list of U.K. executive talent relocating to the U.S. to work for U.K. producers there.

Last year the BBC's most senior drama executive Jane Tranter moved to LA, taking "Doctor Who" executive producer Julie Gardner to work alongside her in LA launching BBC Worldwide's drama division.

ITV Studios' managing director Lee Bartlett -- a former Fox executive -- said the move was a great opportunity for an exec of Znak's caliber.

"When Natalka told me about the chance to move to LA to expand her career and experience living in my home town, I certainly couldn't say anything but what a great opportunity this would be for her and how well she will do there," said Bartlett.

"The U.S. TV industry will be very lucky to have another superb British talent on their turf and she will always remain a personal friend of mine and ITV Studios."
