NBC, MTV team to plug 'Quarterlife'
EmptyNBC is teaming up with MTV to promote its new series "Quarterlife."
The cable network will premiere the series, which got its start as a Web show on MySpace before migrating to TV, on the afternoon of Feb. 26; NBC will debut the show that night, with regular episodes airing starting March 2.
"You hope to get shows seen in as many places as you can, and having it sampled online or on a sneak peek on cable is great," NBC Entertainment co-chairman Ben Silverman told Reuters.
Added Tony DiSanto, executive vp series development and programming at MTV: "We get to have the premiere of the TV show before anybody else, and NBC gets to tap into our audience."
"Quarterlife" is from Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick.
