NBC News Correspondent Comes Under Fire in Libya (Video)

NBC News' chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel came under fire in Libya Wednesday while live on air. He was reporting from the rebel front lines in the Libyan town of Benghazi.

In an appearance on Hardball With Chris Matthews Wednesday night, Engel explained, "Nobody in that particular artillery strike was hurt as far as we could tell."

But it is a dangerous area: "Five people were killed on that front line," he added.

The near-attack comes days after four New York Times journalists were released from Libyan rebel forces after being kidnapped.
