NBC Scheduling Chief Mitch Metcalf Exits

The move was not unexpected as entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt continues to reshape his management team.

Mitch Metcalf, executive vp of program planning and scheduling at NBC, has left the network. His last day was Friday.

Lisa Vebber, senior vp of scheduling, will serve as interim scheduling chief.

Metcalf's departure comes on the heels of the exit last month of Angela Bromstad, former president of primetime entertainment and Universal Media Studios.

Neither departure was unexpected as new NBC entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt continues to remake his management team.

Metcalf -- who presided over the schedule overhaul during the Jay Leno primetime experiment and more recently devised NBC's all-comedy Thursday -- has been at NBC since 1999.
