NBC sets date with 'Momma's Boys'

Reality series from Ryan Seacrest Prods. bows Oct. 29

NBC is dropping its new reality show "Momma's Boys" into Wednesday nights in a few weeks.

The network has scheduled "Boys" to premiere Oct. 29, replacing the ever-flexible "Deal or No Deal" hosted by Howie Mandel at 9 p.m. "Knight Rider" will serve as lead-in.

The six-episode, one-hour series from Ryan Seacrest Prods. and Glassman Media features three possessive mothers helping their complacent sons choose the perfect woman among 32 eligible contestants.

The network also announced casting calls in several cities for a potential second season, demonstrating a vote of confidence in the project.
