The show, which will be featured on Snapchat Discover during the Golden Globes, will offer regular updates as awards are handed out.

Mobile audiences will be able to follow along with the Golden Globes through a new partnership between NBC and Snapchat.

The network, which will broadcast the Globes on Jan. 6, is planning to produce the Snapchat show Golden Globes Highlights to offer up curated content as awards are handed out inside the Beverly Hilton.

NBC will have a dedicated video team clipping highlights from the show and formatting them for Snapchat's vertical orientation. The show, which will be featured on Snapchat's Discover platform, is expected to start posting highlights about an hour into the Golden Globes broadcast and will be updated throughout the night.

"We are excited to be the first to deliver a Golden Globes experience to a mobile audience in an innovative format that complements the telecast," said Robert Hayes, executive vp of NBC Digital. "It really speaks to our continued relationship with Snapchat and the many unique, mobile-first programs it’s produced."

This is the first time that Snapchat will offer a highlight show like this for an awards show. "Awards season is kicking off and we're excited to bring Snapchatters all the must-see moments," said Snapchat head of original content Sean Mills. "NBC is a great partner that is constantly innovating to take advantage of all our offerings and bring viewers a front-row experience."

The 76th annual Golden Globes will be hosted by Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg. NBC is airing the show live on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. ET. It will also be available to stream for cable and skinny bundle subscribers.

The Golden Globes is produced by Dick Clark Productions, which shares a parent company with The Hollywood Reporter.
