NBC, VH1 to air 'Diana' concert


NBC and VH1 are set to air the "Concert for Diana," Grand Entertainment, which is selling TV rights to the event around the world, said Tuesday.

The concert, which will feature such performers as Elton John and Duran Duran, is being billed as a "celebration of the life of the Princess of Wales" and is taking place on the Princess Diana's birthday July 1 at the U.K.'s Wembley Stadium.

Grand Entertainment said it has sold the show in 140 territories; other broadcasters set to air concert include RTL2 in Germany, Canal Satellite Digital in Spain, Sky Italia in Italy, Televisa in Mexico and CTV in Canada. In the U.K., the concert will be broadcast on BBC1 and Radio 2.
