NDTV to distribute Granada

Network bows across Asia on Saturday

NEW DELHI -- New Delhi Television said Friday that it has entered into an agreement with the U.K.'s ITV Global Entertainment to distribute Granada TV in India and South Asia.

One of India's pioneering news networks, NDTV recently moved into lifestyle and entertainment with channels such as NDTV Imagine, NDTV Good Times and Imagine Showbiz.

Granada TV is set to launch Asia-wide on Saturday on the ABS-1 satellite offering content from ITV's library such as "Prime Suspect," "The Jeremy Kyle Show," and "Vroom Vroom."

NBC Universal recently acquired a 26% stake in NDTV for $150 million.
