Neal Moritz to Produce Alfred Nobel Movie (Exclusive)

'Nobel' will center on the chemist's battle to establish his eponymous Peace Prize.

Neal Moritz is set to produce a biopic about famed chemist Alfred Nobel.

Moritz has optioned the spec script Nobel from writer Paul Waters, which tells the story of the Swedish inventor of dynamite's battle to establish his Nobel Prize, along with his assistant who, after Nobel's death, assumed the great responsibility of establishing the Peace Prize. 

Also producing is Original Films' Ori Marmur, who worked with Moritz on the Chris Pratt/Jennifer Lawrence-starrer Passengers and the upcoming Sony action thriller The Maze

Waters has predominantly worked on U.K. television series, including The Darkness Within for ITV and the BBC's Sarah. He is repped by UTA, the U.K.'s Independent and Syndicate Entertainment.
