Net-a-Porter Celebrates Oscar Weekend With Makeup Artist Charlotte Tilbury
Rachel Zoe and Monique Lhuillier were among the stylish ladies to fete Sienna Miller's go-to beauty guru during an intimate Friday luncheon hosted by the luxury e-retailer.
Normally, in the midst of London Fashion Week, makeup artist to the stars Charlotte Tilbury would be backstage, painting the faces of the most famous models in the world. But instead, being Oscars weekend, she's in Hollywood (post-New York Fashion Week) to do friend and actress Sienna Miller's makeup for her various appearances and to be feted by luxury e-retailer Net-a-Porter with a luncheon on Friday afternoon.

Net-a-Porter founder (and president of the British Fashion Council) Natalie Massenet stayed in London with some of her team members to attend the British fashion shows, so Porter Magazine editor-in-chief Lucy Yeomans, also editor in chief of net-a-porter.com, did the honors by giving a welcoming speech to the Dolce & Gabbana clad Tilbury, at the A.O.C. garden. L.A.'s most fashion-forward ladies including Gela Nash Taylor, Pamela Skaist, stylist Lawren Howell, designer Rosetta Getty (whom we hear has designed the gown of one major Oscar nominee), Monique Lhuillier (back from presenting her NYFW fall 2015 show), Rachel Zoe, Shiva Rose and about every fashion editor in Los Angeles were in attendance, mingling and nibbling on their quinoa salads and winter vegetables.
During the intimate gathering, Yeomans shared she's known Tilbury for a decade and that every brand, stylist, makeup artist and most every actress want to work with her. "Net-a-Porter was the first place we launched online," said Tilbury. "And they've already sold out of the red carpet collection." Sounds like everyone wants to wear her makeup, too.
