Netflix 4K Content Will Cost More

'The Blacklist' and 'House of Cards' are among the Ultra HD programming Netflix offers

Netflix users will have to shell out a bit more for Ultra HD content. 

The company is now charging customers $11.99 per month for access to Netflix 4K streaming. The new plan allows users to stream up to four programs simultaneously. 

Netflix had previously charged an $8.99 monthly fee for its 4K content. Only certain 4K TVs are currently compatible with the service.

The increase was first reported by HD Guru.

Among the Netflix titles currently available in Ultra HD are TV shows Breaking Bad, House of Cards and The Blacklist and films Ghostbusters and The Smurfs 2.
