Neuf, AOL team in France

PARIS -- Gallic telecommunications operator Neuf Cegetel and AOL are teaming to provide online content and Web services in the territory, the companies said Friday.

As of July 1, more than two million Neuf Cegetel broadband households will be able to access AOL content and services including AOL's 18 thematic sites with such channels as AOL Music, AOL News and AOL Entertainment.

AOL will manage marketing and advertising for the new "Neuf with AOL" and "Cegetel with AOL" homepages and will increase its French clientele of 2 million broadband homes to an audience of more than 20 million unique visitors per month.

"The combination of AOL and Neuf Cegetel's strong brands and consumer focus will provide a unique range of highly engaging content and online applications to French Web users," AOL Europe CEO Dana Dunne said in a statement.

Added Neuf Cegetel general manager Michel Paulin: "Exclusive, global and local contents and services as well as social networking offerings will add on the experience delivered to our consumers, straight through their home page."
