Neuf, TF1 Vision team for VOD offering
EmptyPARIS -- French telephone and TV operator Neuf Cegetel and French VoD market leader TF1 Vision have joined forces to launch Neuf VoD, Neuf TV's high-definition video-on-demand service, the companies announced Wednesday.
The pact will give Neuf TV HD subscribers access to TF1 Vision's VOD catalog, with "several hundred" programs available immediately upon launch including blockbuster features, classic films, television specials and children's programs.
Prices for these programs, available through streaming, range from €0.49 (65 cents) to €4.99 ($6.60) per session, and are accessible for 24 hours after their initial viewing.
Neuf TV HD customers, who already have three HD channels included in the Neuf TV HD package, also will be able to discover "catch up TV," a new broadcast model that allows them to watch certain TF1 programs after they have aired.
"Through this partnership, TF1 Vision will be available directly on users' TV sets under the best possible conditions, which will make the whole experience easier and therefore more enjoyable," Pierre Brossard, chairman and CEO of TF1 Vision parent TF1 Video, said in a statement.
