'The Good Dinosaur'

The Pixar film is due out this Thanksgiving weekend.

The latest trailer for Pixar's new animated film begins by posing the same question that both the teaser and the first trailer did: What if the asteroids that killed the dinosaurs missed?

But the second full-length trailer provides an answer to a follow-up question: What would those dinosaurs sound like?

The new trailer follows dinosaur Arlo on his journey to get back home after he gets separated from his family. Along the way, he picks up a stray human, and together they travel through the expanse of prehistoric Earth, coming into contact with a parade of other dinosaurs that offer both their well-wishes and warnings.

Toward the end of the spot, a particularly prophetic T. rex voiced by Sam Elliott offers the young Apatosaurus a piece of wisdom, saying, "If you ain't scared, you ain't alive."

The Good Dinosaur is the feature directorial debut of Peter Sohn, who previously had directed the short Partly Cloudy, which ran in front of Up. The Dinosaur screenplay was written by Inside Out scribe Meg LeFauve.

The Good Dinosaur is out this Thanksgiving weekend, on Nov. 25.
