New look, data at THR Web site

The Hollywood Reporter's Web site today unveils its new look, a redesign and re-engineering that is being dubbed v6.0.

One of the major upgrades in v6 is the integration of The Reporter's in-house database, which tracks film and TV production, boxoffice, TV ratings and other key industry indicators.

The Reporter's database fuels many elements on the site, including a new TV pilot development chart. Research-driven company and projects pages will continue to roll out in the weeks ahead.

Along with a clean, intuitive layout, the site features enhanced audio and video showcases. Slideshows and a new-look people page give photography a larger role.

Another key addition is The Reporter's new Showbiz 50 stock index, fed by real-time financial information. Readers can view industry sector "watchlists," monitor the day's winners and losers and interact with breakdowns of companies' financial performance.

The site today also adds four main news pages dedicated to boxoffice, television ratings, Hollywood's guilds and unions and sports. Features, columns and reviews have a higher profile throughout the site.

E-mail products are greatly expanded, with readers able to customize their services from a menu of newsletters and alerts.
